Management Committee

The Committee is comprised of the President, Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer and Secretaries, with a maximum of six members, all elected at the AGM in March. A quorum of the Committee is the Chairman or Vice-Chairman plus at least one other Official and two members. The major responsibilities of the Committee are the maintenance of the fellowship and sociability of the club, provision of a programme and the running of the club as a private non-profitable concern. The Committee has the power to act against transgressions of the Constitution and Rules, the Country Code and antisocial behaviour. Any necessary action will normally be in three stages, namely a verbal warning, written warning followed by expulsion if persistent transgression continues. For particularly serious offences, one or more stages may be dispensed with.

Rambles

The Club and Leaders will not accept responsibility for personal accident or injury to anyone participating in Club events. Members shall walk with, or behind the Leader or as requested by the Leader. Members may only leave the party if unwell and only after discussion with the Leader.

Children are allowed on rambles under parental or guardian supervision and at the discretion of the Membership Secretary.

Coaches

The coaches are provided for members participating in group rambles. Exception to this rule may be granted by the Chairman or in his absence by one of the Officials.

Only members on the coach may book THEMSELVES  on future rambles, other members may only be entered on the Waiting List. Members who cancel after the Monday before the ramble pay half fare (Friday for Wednesday coach). Members who cancel within 24 hours of a ramble pay full fare.

Dogs are not permitted on the coach.

All coaches start from Heysham Towers at 8.30 am unless otherwise stated on the booking list.

The Management Committee reserve the right to cancel any ramble at their discretion.

The above rules are approved by the Management Committee, to be endorsed  at the AGM.

Annual Subscription

Adults: £3.00

Children under 16: 50p

Subscriptions are due 1st. January, Membership terminates if not paid before the AGM.

Coach Fare

Weekend and Wednesday Walks: £6.00

Wednesday Social Coach: £6.00

The above rates are subject to change.

Guests

Guests residing locally may be introduced on one ramble. Non-resident friends may be introduced at anytime subject to seat availability.
